Iowa Wild Community Ice Rinks

Community Ice Rinks

T05A3147.jpgEver needed to do some skating, but had nowhere to go? We've been there, so we partnered up with several local cities to build eleven free public community ice rinks around central Iowa!

With the help of the cities of Johnston, Ames, Ankeny, Indianola, Urbandale, Waukee, Grinnell, Altoona, Newton, and Marshalltown, we are making ice skating accessible to fans across the Des Moines Metro. We are also happy to annouce the opening of the Carlisle Rink!

DSC_0084.jpgThese public community rinks are BYOS—Bring Your Own Skates (or borrow some from a friend or neighbor).

Rinks will be open from dawn to dusk each day, weather permitting. Check your local rink for specific times designated for hockey or open skating.

Skate by and check out the rink nearest you!
