Iowa Upgrades Team Website to Be More Fan Friendly
DES MOINES, Iowa – The Iowa Wild, in conjunction with Infinity Pro Sports, revealed on Friday the team’s newly redesigned website – IOWAWILD.COM.
The overhaul includes numerous changes to the team website, starting with a more crisp and sleeker home-page design. One of the more notable changes includes a redesigned dropdown for each category with easy-to-find links for tickets, schedule, promotions, team information, community programs, and fan experiences. For the first time ever, fans can now purchase select ticket packages directly on the site. The team has added social media timelines on its home page for Facebook and Twitter.
To improve the overall experience, the Iowa Wild has added additional sign ups to the website for fans to nominate Military members for Hero of the Game or to sign up for the Hyvee Benchwarmers program – which allows select fans to sit on the bench for warm ups. Another new feature is the contest sign up page, allowing fans an opportunity to participate in intermission activities on the ice such as broomball, hamster ball races, giant beach ball competition, the Bud Light Shootout, and the Embassy Suites-Sheraton West Des Moines bed races.
The elaborate ticket dropdown has been revamped with new categories for fans to purchase their group tickets to see the Iowa Wild play at Wells Fargo Arena. Not only can fans select special single-game packages, they may also obtain information on numerous ticket offers associated with work outings, sports team outings and schools.
Iowa Wild fans will also be able to find information on numerous community programs. Wild About Reading and the Healthy Living Floor Hockey program is readily available under the community tab. Fans can also find ways to request the team mascot, request a team appearance or even request a donation, all through the official team website.
To enhance overall fans experience, the website will continue to provide up-to-date information on the team in regards to roster moves, game recaps and game previews. Under the Fan Central tab, fans can also find links to all the Iowa Wild’s social media platforms. They can listen to audio highlights and interviews of all players / coaches under the audio vault. Fan Central also has a link direct to the team’s YouTube account so fans may get the latest videos posted on I-Wild TV. The website will continue to provide editorial content on the team with weekly features.
Iowa continues a three-game home stand against Chicago with a two-game series at 7 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 8 and at 3 p.m. on Sunday, Nov. 9. Saturday night is Ladies Night, where the first 2,500 fans receive an Iowa Wild ice scraper sponsored by Greater Iowa Credit Union. All ladies (21 and over) may purchase glasses of wine for a $1.00 discount. The Wild will also host Special Olympics Night on Saturday. Sunday is Pucks N’ Paws day, where the first 2,500 fans receive pet tags, compliments of Anderson Animal Hospital. Fans may bring their dog to the game with the purchase of a special $14 ticket, with $2 going back to the Animal Rescue League. Fans are invited to bring a pet food item to donate, for which they receive a free ticket to an upcoming Iowa Wild game. It is also a Subway Family Four Pack game, where fans may purchase four tickets, four sodas and four hot dogs, starting at $48.
The Iowa Wild 2014-15 season is presented by Mercy Medical Center, it runs from October through April. Fans may purchase seats to see any of the team’s 38 regular season home games at Wells Fargo Arena. Season tickets to see the Wild play at Wells Fargo Arena start at just $9 per game.
