MINNESOTA ASSIGNS SCHROEDER AND FALK

Iowa Releases Goalie Milner

DES MOINES, Iowa – Minnesota Wild General Manager Chuck Fletcher on Sunday announced the National Hockey League (NHL) club has reassigned defenseman Justin Falk and forward Jordan Schroeder (SHRAY-duhr) to the Iowa Wild of the American Hockey League (AHL). Iowa Wild General Manager Jim Mill also announced the AHL club has released goaltender Parker Milner from a professional tryout agreement (PTO).

Falk, 26, was recalled by Minnesota on Nov. 14 and skated in the Wild's 2-1 win at Dallas on Nov. 15. He has averaged 8:29 in time on ice in three contests with Minnesota and recorded one assist and 22 PIM in 12 games with Iowa this season.

Schroeder, 24, was recalled by Minnesota on Nov. 12 and appeared in one game with the Wild tallying two shots and two penalty minutes (PIM) in 12:06 of ice time vs. Buffalo on Nov. 13. He ranks tied for first in scoring with Iowa recording 11 points (4-7=11) in 12 games.

Milner did not appear in a game with the Wild. He returns to the ECHL’s Quad City Mallards, where he played in four games, posting 2-2-0 record with a 3.26 GAA and a .904 SV%. The second-year pro spent the majority of his rookie season with the ECHL’s Stockton Thunder. He was 9-14-2 with a 2.84 GAA and a .907 SV%. He also made his American Hockey League debut with Bridgeport in 2013-14. In eight games with the Tigers, he was 4-2-0 with a 2.95 GAA and a .904 SV %. Parker played four years at Boston College from 2009-13. In 92 appearances for the Eagles, the Pittsburgh, PA native went 53-24-9 with a 2.10 GAA and a .912 SV %.

After stops in Rockford and Chicago next weekend, Iowa returns home at 5 p.m. on Sunday, Nov. 23 to face Milwaukee. On Sunday fans can bring skates to take part in the postgame skate after the game, sponsored by Grip-Tite Foundation Repair. Fans are encouraged to bring canned foods to the game on Sunday to support a canned food drive presented by Fire Creek Grill. It’s also a Subway Family Four Pack game, where fans may buy four tickets, four sodas and four hot dogs, starting at $48.

The Iowa Wild 2014-15 season is presented by Mercy Medical Center, it runs from October through April. Fans may purchase seats to see any of the team’s 38 regular season home games at Wells Fargo Arena. Season tickets to see the Wild play at Wells Fargo Arena start at just $9 per game.
