The Iowa Wild were defeated by the Rockford IceHogs 1-0 in front of 3,812 fans on Thursday at Wells Fargo Arena. Rockford goalie Michael Leighton made 23 saves in the road win, recording his fourth shutout this season. Despite stopping 41 of 42 shots, Iowa goalie John Curry picked up the loss. Rookie forward Matt Carey scored the IceHog’s lone goal, lifting them past the Wild.
