Team Opens Third Season at Home on Oct. 10 vs. Charlotte at 7 P.M., School Day Game Returns Nov. 5
DES MOINES, IA – The Iowa Wild, in conjunction with the American Hockey League (AHL), announced on Thursday the 2015-16 AHL regular season schedule.

The 76-game regular season, which includes 38 home games and 38 road games, starts on Oct. 10th at 7 p.m. as Iowa welcomes the Charlotte Checkers to Wells Fargo Arena. Prior to the first game of the season, the team kicks off its third year in Des Moines with a Tailgating party outside of the Iowa Events Center. Opening Night features the Iowa Wild debut of the brand-new video board at Wells Fargo Arena and the first 5,000 fans receive a 2015-16 Iowa Wild cling schedule. The Checkers remain in town for a rematch on Sunday, Oct. 11th at 3 p.m. Iowa hits the road for the first time with a pair of games in Cleveland on Oct. 16 and 17 against Lake Erie. Iowa returns the ever-popular Pucks and Paws game on Sunday, Oct. 25 vs. Texas at 3 p.m.
The Wild plays all 76-games within the Western Conference, with 64 of the team’s games against Central Division rivals. Iowa will face geographical rivals Chicago and Rockford 12 times each, with six games home and six away. The Wild plays fellow division foes Charlotte, Lake Erie, Grand Rapids, Manitoba and Milwaukee eight times each, with four games at Wells Fargo Arena and four away. Iowa faces the West Division a total of 12 times, including six games at home. Iowa will face only four of the seven West Division teams this season, including the first-ever meeting with Stockton and San Jose. The Wild meets Texas and San Antonio four times during the 2015-16 campaign.
The Wild plays 28 weekend dates at home and 12 weekday games, including the Wild About Education - School Day Game on Thursday, Nov. 5 at 10:30 a.m. versus the Milwaukee Admirals. Midway through the month, Iowa celebrates ALS / Veterans Appreciation weekend on Nov. 13 and 14. The team will wear specialty jerseys available for purchase via a live auction after the game on Nov. 14 vs. Rockford. A portion of the proceeds will benefit the ALS Association – Iowa Chapter.
Iowa hosts five games in December, including the return of Teddy Bear Toss – slated for Sunday, Dec. 20 at 3 p.m. with a visit from San Antonio Rampage. The Rampage wraps up a two-game set at Wells Fargo Arena on Monday, Dec. 21.
Iowa opens the New Year with a two-game visit to Winnipeg for the first regular season meetings between the Wild and the Manitoba Moose – Winnipeg’s AHL affiliate. Iowa will also get its first look at the new West Division teams with a visit from the San Jose Barracuda and the Stockton Heat the weekend of Jan. 16 and 17. The Wild celebrates “Kids Winterfest” on Sunday, Jan. 17 with numerous concourse games and a specialty giveaway item. Iowa hosts Military Appreciation Night on Friday, Jan. 29 at 7 p.m. with the Charlotte Checkers.
February features five home games, highlighted by the Manitoba Moose’s historical first visit to Wells Fargo Arena on Feb. 22 and 24.
The team begins a season-long seven-game road trip on Feb 26 and will not return home until Sunday, Mar. 13 at 5 p.m. with a visit from Milwaukee. The trip includes stops in Grand Rapids, Texas, Manitoba and Milwaukee. The team will also make its historical inaugural swing out to the West coast for games in Stockton and San Jose on Mar. 18 and 19.
Iowa closes out the regular season with seven of its last 11 games on home ice. The Wild celebrates “Fan Appreciation Night” on Friday, Apr. 15.

The Iowa Wild will play a pair of preseason games, both will be in North Dakota against the Manitoba Moose - the Winnipeg Jets AHL club. Iowa and Manitoba meet in Grand Forks, ND on Fri. Oct. 2 at 7 p.m. The two teams will play a second preseason game in Fargo, ND on Sat. Oct. 3 at 7 p.m.
Iowa begins its third season in the AHL this fall. The team will host Opening Night on Saturday, Oct. 10. Fans may purchase single game tickets multiple ways, either through the team's website – www.Iowawild.com, Wells Fargo Arena box office or www.iowaeventscenter.com. Tickets are available online at www.iowawild.com under the single game tickets tab. The Iowa Wild 2015-16 season is presented by Mercy Medical Center, it runs from October through April. Fans may purchase seats to see any of the team’s 38 regular season home games at Wells Fargo Arena.
