IOWA WILD ANNOUNCES TRAINING CAMP SCHEDULE

Open Practice on Sept. 26

DES MOINES, IA – The Iowa Wild, proud American Hockey League (AHL) affiliate of the NHL’s Minnesota Wild, on Friday announced the team’s training camp schedule.

Iowa opens camp with the first full practice on Saturday, Sept. 26 from 10 a.m. – 1 p.m. at Wells Fargo Arena. The team will practice at the same time from Sept. 27-Sept. 30 at Wells Fargo Arena. On Wednesday, Iowa participates in the Green-White Scrimmage at 6 p.m. at Wells Fargo Arena. Iowa travels on Oct. 1 to North Dakota to meet the Manitoba Moose, Winnipeg’s AHL affiliate. Iowa and Manitoba will play a pair of preseason games on Oct. 2 and Oct. 3. Iowa will travel back to Des Moines on Oct. 4. The team will then practice through the week in anticipation of Opening Night at home on Saturday, Oct. 10 at 7 p.m. with the Charlotte Checkers.

The Iowa Wild will open one practice to the public on Saturday, Sept. 26 from 10 a.m. – 12 p.m. Parking for the open practice is free.

Iowa Wild individual game tickets are on sale now for the 2015-16 season. For single-game tickets, fans may go to www.hy-veetix.com.

The Green-White game is scheduled for Wednesday, Sept. 30 at 6 p.m. at the Wells Fargo Arena with a split-squad scrimmage of Iowa Wild players. The game features two (2) 30-minute running clock halves with a short intermission in between the two periods. Fans are encouraged to bring a non-perishable food item to gain entrance to the game. The items will be donated to the Bidwell Riverside Center.

The Iowa Wild plays a pair of preseason games, both will be in North Dakota against the Manitoba Moose -the Winnipeg Jets AHL club. Iowa and Manitoba meet in Grand Forks, ND on Fri. Oct. 2 at 7 p.m. The two teams will play a second preseason game in Fargo, ND on Sat. Oct. 3 at 7 p.m. 

Iowa begins its third season in the AHL this fall. The team will host Opening Night on Saturday, Oct. 10. Fans may purchase single-game tickets multiple ways, either through the team's website – www.Iowawild.com, the Wells Fargo Arena box office or participating Hy-Vee food stores. Tickets are available online at www.Iowawild.com under the single game tickets tab. The Wells Fargo Arena box office is open Monday – Friday from 10:00 a.m. - 5:30 p.m., Saturdays from 10:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m. and closed on Sunday. For Saturday game days, the box office will open at 10 a.m. For Sunday game days the box office will open at 12 p.m. Fans may also purchase tickets by calling 1-844-55-HYVEE or by visiting participating Hy-Vee food stores locations in the greater Des Moines area. Those interested may also visit www.hy-veetix.com.

Fans interested in buying full season, or smaller season packages may call the Iowa Wild front office at 515-564-8700. In July of 2015, the AHL honored the Iowa Wild by naming it the Western Conference’s Best Fan Experience.

The Iowa Wild 2015-16 season is presented by Mercy Medical Center, it runs from October through April. Fans may purchase seats to see any of the team’s 38 regular season home games at Wells Fargo Arena. Season tickets to see the Wild play its 2015-16 season at Wells Fargo Arena start at just $9 per game.
