IOWA RE-SIGNS FORWARD MITCH MCLAIN
Jul 20, 2020Iowa Wild General Manager Tom Kurvers announced today the re-signing of forward Mitch McLain to a one-year, AHL contract for the 2020-21 season.
McLain, 26 (12/09/93), skated in 28 games with the Wild last season, posting four points (2g, 2a), with both of his goals serving as game-winning tallies. He also recorded six points (4g, 2a) in eight games with Iowa’s ECHL affiliate, the Allen Americans.
The Baxter, Minn. native has recorded 13 goals and 12 assists in 96 career AHL games, all with Iowa, over three seasons.
A four-year standout at Bowling Green University, McLain served as the Falcons’ captain during the 2017-18 season. He originally joined Iowa on an Amateur Tryout Agreement (ATO) on Mar. 17, 2018.
