IOWA WILD ADDS TO HOCKEY OPERATIONS STAFF
Jun 14, 2024DES MOINES, Iowa – Iowa Wild General Manager Matt Hendricks today announced the American Hockey League (AHL) club has hired Bryan Rohrbach as the team’s strength and conditioning coach and Jason Geisler as the team’s assistant athletic trainer.
Rohrbach joined the Iowa Heartlanders in the ECHL as the team’s strength and conditioning coach ahead of the team’s inaugural season in 2021-22. He previously supported the UNI men’s and women’s track and field teams along with the women’s tennis team and offered support to the strength programs at multiple Iowa high schools. The UNI graduate earned a B.A. in Exercise Science in 2012, then stayed in Cedar Falls to earn his M.A. in Kinesiology and Sports Performance from UNI in 2014.
Geisler joins the Iowa Wild following a season with the Heartlanders as the team’s athletic trainer. A Cedar Falls, Iowa native, Geisler joined the Heartlanders as a part of the team’s partnership with the University of Iowa Sports Medicine program. Geisler has worked in hockey and the sports world in numerous capacities before, including with the University of Minnesota-Duluth Ice Hockey programs as a graduate student.
