IOWA WILD SIGNS FORWARD JACK O'BRIEN TO PTO
Mar 19, 2025DES MOINES, Iowa – Iowa Wild General Manager Matt Hendricks today announced the American Hockey League (AHL) club has signed forward Jack O'Brien to a professional try-out contract (PTO).
O’Brien, 21 (5/14/2003), has recorded 12 points (4-8=12), 14 PIM, and a plus-2 rating in 24 games with the Iowa Heartlanders this season. Prior to his professional career, the 6-foot-1, 168-pound native of Denver, Colo., skated in 255 games across five seasons (2019-24) with the Portland Winterhawks (WHL), where he posted 194 points (63-131=194), 180 PIM, and a plus-74 rating. O’Brien also played for the Lincoln Stars (USHL) in 2020-21, where he recorded seven points (1-6=7), 22 PIM, and a minus-4 rating in 23 games.
O’Brien will wear sweater No. 20 for Iowa.
