IOWA WILD SIGNS FORWARD NATHAN NOEL TO PTO
Feb 26, 2025DES MOINES, Iowa – Iowa Wild General Manager Matt Hendricks today announced the American Hockey League (AHL) club signed forward Nathan Noel to a professional try-out contract (PTO).
Noel, 27 (6/21/1997), has four points (1-3=4), 53 penalty minutes (PIM), and a plus-1 rating in nine games with the Iowa Heartlanders in the ECHL in 2024-25. He has also recorded 33 PIM and a minus-3 rating in 15 games with the Indy Fuel in the ECHL this season. The 5-foot-11, 174-pound native of St. John’s, Newfoundland, has accumulated 53 points (17-36=53), 346 PIM, and a minus-5 rating in 165 ECHL games with the Indy Fuel (2017-18, 2019-20, 2024-25), Reading Royals (2019-20), South Carolina Stingrays (2019-20), Newfoundland Growlers (2021-23), Maine Mariners (2023-24), and Iowa Heartlanders. Noel made his AHL debut on Feb. 13, 2018 with the Rockford IceHogs and accumulated seven points (3-4=7), 83 PIM, and a minus-7 rating in 71 games across three seasons with Rockford.
Prior to his professional career, Noel recorded 208 points (85-123=208), 268 PIM, and a minus-8 rating in 242 games (2013-17) with the St. John’s Sea Dogs in the QMJHL.
Noel will wear sweater No. 8 with the Iowa Wild.
