IOWA WILD SIGNS FORWARD NICO BLACHMAN TO PTO
Feb 12, 2025DES MOINES, Iowa – Iowa Wild General Manager Matt Hendricks today announced the American Hockey League (AHL) club has signed forward Nico Blachman to a professional try-out contract (PTO).
Blachman, 26 (4/11/1998), has posted nine points (5-4=9), 173 penalty minutes (PIM), and an even rating in 39 games with the Iowa Heartlanders this season.
Blachman has recorded 27 points (13-14=27), 740 PIM and a minus-22 rating in 155 ECHL games with the Florida Everblades (2020-22), South Carolina Stingrays (2021-22), Allen Americans (2022-23), Savannah Ghost Pirates (2022-23), Norfolk Admirals (2022-23), Kalamazoo Wings (2023-24), Adirondack Thunder (2023-24), and Iowa Heartlanders (2023-25). The 6-foot-2, 198-pound Aventura, Fla. native has served as an alternate captain for the Heartlanders this season.
Blachman will wear sweater No. 29 with the Iowa Wild.
