MINNESOTA WILD ACQUIRES DEFENSEMAN STEPAN FALKOVSKY FROM THE LOS ANGELES KINGS IN EXCHANGE FOR FORWARD PAVEL JENYS

Minnesota Wild General Manager Paul Fenton today announced the National Hockey League (NHL) club has acquired defenseman Stepan Falkovsky from the Los Angeles Kings in exchange for forward Pavel Jenys.

Falkovsky, 21 (12/18/86) has tallied six points (3g, 3a) and eight penalty minutes (PIM) in 14 games this season with the Manchester Monarchs in the ECHL. The 6-foot-7, 224-pound native of Minsk, Belarus, recorded seven points (3g, 4a) and 28 PIM in 44 games with the Ontario Reign in the American Hockey League (AHL) in 2017-18. He notched 32 points (21g, 11a) and 37 PIM during his first season of professional hockey with the Adirondack Thunder (ECHL) in 2016-17. Calgary selected Falkovsky in the seventh round (186th overall) of the 2016 NHL Entry Draft. He signed a three-year, entry-level contact with Los Angeles on July 1, 2017.

Minnesota selected Jenys in the seventh round (199th overall) of the 2014 NHL Entry Draft. He has tallied four goals in nine games with the Allen Americans in the ECHL this season. The 6-foot-3, 207-pound native of Brno, Czech Republic, recorded one goal in nine games with the Iowa Wild (AHL) last season and 35 points (17g, 18a) and 29 PIM in 48 games with Rapid City (ECHL).
