Jan 18, 2025

SAINT PAUL, Minn. - Minnesota Wild President of Hockey Operations and General Manager Bill Guerin today announced the National Hockey League (NHL) club has recalled goaltender Dylan Ferguson under emergency conditions from the Iowa Wild of the American Hockey League (AHL) and placed defenseman Jonas Brodin on Injured Reserve. Additionally, defenseman David Jiricek's emergency recall has been converted to a regular recall. The Iowa Wild have also recalled goaltender William Rousseau from the Iowa Heartlanders of the ECHL.

Minnesota signed Ferguson, 26 (9/20/98), to a one-year, two-way contract that runs through the remainder of the 2024-25 season on Jan. 7, 2025. Ferguson owns a 3-6-0 record, 3.70 goals-against average (GAA) and .881 save percentage (SV%) in nine appearances for Iowa this season. The 6-foot-2, 194-pound native of Lantzville, British Columbia, has also made one start for the Iowa Heartlanders of the ECHL, stopping all 31 shots faced to earn a shutout win on Oct. 30 vs. Bloomington.

Ferguson spent the 2023-24 season with Dinamo Minsk of the Kontinental Hockey League (KHL), recording a 9-9-0 record with a 2.51 GAA and a .904 SV% while playing in 23 games. He made his NHL debut with the Vegas Golden Knights on Nov. 14, 2017, appearing in relief against the Edmonton Oilers, and made two starts with the Ottawa Senators during the 2022-23 season, posting a 1-1-0 record with a 2.52 GAA and a .940 SV%. For his career, Ferguson has played in 38 games and owns a 18-13-2 record, 2.86 GAA, .905 SV% and two shutouts across parts of five AHL seasons with the Chicago Wolves (2019-20), Henderson Silver Knights (2020-22), Belleville Senators (2022-23), Toronto Marlies (2022-23) and Iowa (2024-25). He also owns a 15-7-2 record in 28 career games in the ECHL with Fort Wayne (2019-21) and Iowa (2024). Ferguson was originally selected in the seventh round (No. 194 overall) of the 2017 NHL Draft by the Dallas Stars. He will wear sweater No. 33 for Minnesota.
