Trailing the best-of-seven series 2-0, the Iowa Wild returned home in front of a raucous Wells Fargo Arena crowd in search of their first victory in the 2019 Central Division Final.
A late, first period goal by Luke Kunin gave Iowa a 1-0 lead after 20 minutes of play. That advantage held up until the final moments of regulation, when Wild winger Matt Read outlasted the Wolves defense and tucked home an empty-net goal, helping Iowa pick up a 2-0 victory. Read finished with a goal and an assist, while goaltender Andrew Hammond posted 26 saves for his second shutout of the playoffs.
