In the regular-season finale, the Wild and the Admirals a 4-2 loss, setting a franchise record for points in a season (later broken in 2019). Defenseman Alex Grant netted two tallies, breaking the record for goals by a defenseman with 13 and Gustav Bouramman scored his first career AHL tally in the game as well. Gerry Mayhew netted the third goal for the Wild and CJ Motte earned back to back wins to close out the year.
2017 – Iowa Wild (3) vs. Chicago Wolves (2)
The final home contest for the Wild in 2017 saw Alex Tuch score a game-winning goal just 13 seconds into overtime to give Iowa the 3-2 victory. The two sides traded goals in the contest and trailing 2-1 late in the second period, Justin Kloos scored his first professional goal, knotting the game at 2-2. After a scoreless third, the contest went to overtime, where Tuch then played the hero.
2015 – Iowa Wild (2) vs. Toronto Marlies (2)
On this date in 2015, the Wild played the Marlies for the final time, falling by a score of 5-2. Brady Brassart opened the scoring for the Wild for the lone goal in the first period, but then the Marlies responded with three consecutive goals in the second. Midway through the third, Marc Hagel cut the visitor’s lead to 3-2, but two more goals by the Marlies late in the third iced the game.
